Ceremony

So this is love.

No distance to sway a sturdy heart

from wanting what it wants.

No time to tempt from knowing

what is true.

Nothing to be proven,

or assumed,

but savored and sketched always into the mind.

For the stars in the sky are pointing in perfect direction,

The night's staccato all in tune,

Intentions in precisely the right places.

And those of us still longing for love look upon you both,
